I am a staunch conservationist and "protector of our environment advocate". We all breathe the air and we all drink the water and we all eat food planted in the soil.
I will write and support legislation that improves the quality of our drinking water, cracks down on pollutants and contaminants, and protects our parks, our waterfronts and open spaces.
I will also write and support legislation that prohibits prize hunting, protects our enandgered species but at the same time, controls our population.
I will work diligently to make sure our recycling programs (public and private) are working and efficient, our water supplies and landfills and toxic locations are monitored with easily accessible results, and companies/individuals are held accountable for pollution violations.
I will work to fund community gardens.
I will not support clearing open spaces and forests to install solar.
I will not support solar panels on top of our water.
I will not support clearing forests to install windmills nor will I support windmills in our waters.
I will not support solar on farmland with contingencies.
I will support solar on top of box stores, parking lot canopies, schools, apartments, warehouses, business building structures on already cleared thruway medians of which we have thousands of miles.
I will not support building lithium battery plants along our waterfronts.
I also happen to have Indian Point right in my own backyard. I will work diligently and responsibly with any and every agency to make sure the demolition is monitored very closely as local residents are very, and rightly so, concerned about their health, safety and future. Having said that, in light of recent news, I will fully support any safe and fiscally sound plan to re-open the facility that provides us with carbon free energy.
